Oral history interview with Heinie Groh, 1964 Jan. 31.

Interview conducted by Larry Ritter for use in his book "The Glory of their times : the story of the early days of baseball told by the men who played it". Heinie Groh discusses witnessing Fred Snodgrass drop a fly ball in the 1912 World Series, and pitching a no-hitter in 1917. As well as playing in 6 World Series on 3 different teams, followed by comments on Babe Ruth and the 1912 World Series.

Heinie Groh played for the New York Giants (1912-1913, 1922-1926), Cincinnati Reds (1913-1921), Pittsburgh Pirates (1927). Upon retiring, he coached for the Cincinnati Reds (1918).
